Jake Wardle
Reports on the other board that we are in for Jake Wardle?
Has anybody heard anything regarding this? Would be a great signing if the rumour is to be believed, a player many like myself have touted for a while!

Very good player. A winger’s centre.

Re: Jake Wardle
I thought Wardle looked short of match fitness on Saturday which isn't surprising given his limited game time this season. Not certain if lack of games is a result of injury, problems with the coach or a combination of the two. He's a good size, looks like an athlete but is probably low on confidence at the moment. He has great potential and I'd assume that we could do a lot with him as a direct replacement for Bibby. Would seem like a very good signing for us if he's available.

Hope this is true. Always liked the look of him, played well for England.
Re: Jake Wardle
Was reported on the other forum post that Wardle's lack of game time is due to a rejected contract in favour of a Wigan move & him not having a good relationship with Ian Watson.

Re: Jake Wardle
A Bibby for Wardle swap would be fine by me. As would keeping hold of Bibby, tbh.
Re: Jake Wardle
Bibby has signed for Huddersfield on a free transfer, a swap was never ever an option.Exiled Wiganer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 10:21 am A Bibby for Wardle swap would be fine by me. As would keeping hold of Bibby, tbh.

Some worrying reports on the other site suggesting that Wardle is going to wire, possibly as part of exchange deal with Toby King.
