Re: GF tickets
I took an elderly neighbour to hospital after he had a fall so only got back home when it was 32-0. Went straight on the RFL site and there was virtually no tickets left other than back rows of top tier of Stretford End, I ended up taking a pair and a single seat in N2409.
Wanted safe standing or seats behind the posts so may see what’s left in the online general sale at 1pm on Monday then try to offload the others if successful. All set to head up the M6 on Saturday morning . Come on Wigan!

Re: GF tickets
Got block 207 when I got home last night. Logged on and our flexi season tickets allowed me to buy 2, so exactly what I wanted.
Re: GF tickets
Just ordered on line from the club (too many celebratory beers to order last night). No issues. Now hoping that they turn up quicker than the season tickets.

Bought mine the day they announced Luke Thompson or thereabouts

Re: GF tickets
I bought last night too from the RFL site. But I'm concerned about the "Print at Home" rubbish. Why would anyone want to print anyway? I just want a pdf I can download into the Download folder on my mobe. Why does it have to be any more complicated than that? And no, I don't use Google Wallet.
Re: GF tickets
I have sent a email of query this morning to the RFL. On the off-chance that anyone here is sufficiently au fait with the system to answer my questions, I'm copying it (in part) below. If you know the answers to my questions, please, speak up!
I bought a ticket for the Grand Final last night from your site. This was "Print at Home". I assumed this would give me a pdf file with a QR code or whatever that I could get up on my mobile phone. I don't have an actual printer, or easy access to one. But I didn't think that would be necessary. Isn't the point of electronic tickets to be greener, and save paper anyway?
The confirmation email says
There is also the option to display the ticket on your device or add to your Apple wallet. These tickets can also be viewed in your MyTickets account.
The form also has an "Add to Google Wallet" button, which I am reluctant to press; I don't use Google Wallet. My mobe is Android, though. What I want is confirmation that I can access my ticket and gain entry using my mobe only. The only way I can see to access my ticket is from the confirmation email. Which takes me to a section headed PRINT TICKETS. At the bottom of the page, it says, "View and Print". It then tries to access a non-existent printer. I can't imagine that that tiny picture of the unfolded ticket on my mobe screen, with a QR that I cannot enlarge with my thumbs is going to be sufficient to grant me access to Old Trafford. I just want to 'get my ticket up' on my mobe for access. Can I do that? If I can't, what are the other options other than Print At Home? Have I taken the wrong option? I have no idea how to access my "My Tickets account" on my mobe. Where is that? What are my options now?
In the past, when I 've bought tickets for events, the ticket has been attached to a email, and that ticket could be downloaded on my mobe. So when I got to the turnstile, I wouldn't require internet access, because the ticket was safely downloaded into the Download folder on my phone. Why do GF tickets seem to be so much more complicated than that?

Re: GF tickets
Honestly, I regret now not using the Stone Age method and queuing at the TO this morning. What should be a pleasure just becomes an anxious worry.
