Junior Nsemba is the overwhelming supporters' choice for Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for September - completing a significant double for his side with Matt Peet also named Betfred Coach of the Month.
This latest recognition tops off a phenomenal month for Nsemba with the 20-year-old also securing a debut in the Dream Team, a nomination for Young Player of the Year and a new long-term contract with Warriors.
To date this year, the powerful back-rower has nine tries in 42 appearances – including a crucial cross during Wigan’s 24-20 defeat of Hull KR in Round 25.
After making 15 appearances in 2023, Nsemba got his opportunity with the Warriors this year after Willie Isa suffered an injury and he has not looked back, feeding on the confidence shown in him by head coach Matt Peet.
Peet has also been recognised for guiding his side to the 2024 League Leaders’ Shield with a perfect set of results in September also seeing the 40-year-old nominated for Coach of the Year.
One member of the voting explained their support of Peet below:
“Matt Peet steered Wigan to a note-perfect regular season finish which saw them overcome very different challenges enroute. They had to show guts and guile to beat nearest league table rivals Hull KR, steamrollered a Leeds side needing to win to bolster their own aims and then ruthlessly dispatched an under-strength Salford. The level-headed approach Peet brings kept focus sharp and that rubs off on his team.”
The Betfred Coach of the Month voting panel is made up of selected members of the Rugby League media.

CLEAN SWEEP FOR WIGAN WARRIORS IN MONTHLY AWARDS
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
