Being an avid atheist, (science and fact rules), I gave in so I tried to explain to my girls what God looks like and I simply had to show them Ellery Hanley v St Helens in 1989 at Wembley.
That try hands down, for me, beats Offiah, my hero, in 1994…
What’s yours? Who have I missed?

Re: Wembley try memories…
i think you've nailed most on there
one i'd add purely for sentimental reasons would be Hampo v Saints, after the heartbreaks he'd suffered keep breaking bones
i think the commentary adds to a couple of those tries when you watch them back too.
Not good professional tactics here from Wigan, taking the ball across the front of the posts - 10 seconds later the biggest grin Wembley has ever seen
Just look at Lydon go, reminiscent of those 2 great tries in 84, he's got Hanley inside him, that must be one of the all time great tries at Wembley
i also agree re Hanley, there have been quite a few full length tries but my favourite of all time is the one v Saints, i can still see him gliding through the defenders like they werent there, and just shows that he was on a completely different level to most players

Cant argue that hanleys is the best individual try at wembley although my favourite will always be Hendy Gills versus Hull
