Post by josie andrews »

WIGAN WARRIORS ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT KHD BROKK HIRE LTD WILL BECOME THE OFFICIAL PRINCIPAL PARTNER OF WIGAN WARRIORS WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM.

The initial two-year deal will see them feature as Wigan Warriors Women’s front of shirt sponsor for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Managing Director of KHD Brokk Hire, David Turner, is a Wigan Warriors Fan and in 2023 was a Player Sponsor whilst also venturing into match sponsorships at some The Brick Community Stadium match days. His son also enjoys participating in our Community Foundation led holiday camps.

In 2023 they also extended their support of the Club by becoming an official kit sponsor of the Men’s first team for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, whilst also featuring on the shirt of our inclusion teams.

Earlier this season, KHD Brokk Hire Ltd also created a brand wagon, wrapped with lots of iconic Warriors moments:

A local company specialising in robotic demolition and electrical plant hire – Managing Director, David Turner, is not only a passionate Wigan Warriors fan but also has a personal connection to the team through previous sponsorships. Furthermore, his son actively participates in the Community Foundation-led holiday camps.

Commenting on the new partnership, Denis Betts, Head Coach of Wigan Warriors Women said: “It’s a fantastic statement from such a big sponsor of the Club who is involved with all the teams and wants to be at the forefront of supporting our Women’s team.

“We have got a big year planned this year and they have seen the potential in what we achieved last year so it’s great to have their support and backing in what we are trying to do not just as a Club but as a Women’s group.”

KHD Brokk Hire Ltd Managing Director, David Turner, said: “After being a part of this amazing club and watching the progression of the women within this sport, it was a true honour to be able to become the main partner of the Warriors Women for the upcoming seasons.”

He added: “People always focus on the men within rugby, but I believe we should match that support and back the women’s team just as much, as they are only going to get bigger and better. The growth of this team has been amazing to watch so I am excited to see where they go from here, and will be supporting them every step of the way.

“I’m excited to see the women succeed and all that they achieve this year.”
