BBC viewing figures sink as full numbers revealed from Leigh Leopards v Huddersfield Giants clash

Post by josie andrews »

The BBC’s coverage of Leigh Leopards’ win against Huddersfield Giants on Sunday saw viewing figures drop, with the Six Nations ruling the roost instead.

Screened live on BBC Two, Leigh beat Huddersfield 24-10 in the final game of Round 2, coming from behind to do so thanks to tries from Keanan Brand, David Armstrong, Matt Davis and Tesi Niu.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

The presentation from start to finish was awful. The presenter, JJ Chalmers, looked out of his depth at times. Not the most attractive fixture for the BBC to show live either.

not really a big surprise

on BBC2, Six Nations on and the farce from the previous week

I may also be being unkind with this, but i dont think people want to watch Huddersfield either. They are a team that completely bore me and i hate going to watch the games that they play against us
