great performance from the lads today!
professional & comitted, didn`t panic when swinton had there little spell at the start.. & made up for not scoring in the first 25 mins!!
( mainly due to so awful refing!.. nb, both the homes games this year i felt the discissions from the ref were very much againt the warriors! however that is another matter! LOL)

looking forward to the draw tomorrow, my money is us drawing leeds...

on an off the topic subject, i thought the swinton fans were brilliant today! they cheered there team on from start to finish, even after they were 40 points behind.... they deserve at least a mention for that!

The semi final draw

Post by bankheyes »

I am a cynic
The draw will put Wigan v Saints and Bradford v Leeds to ensure a Roses Final.

I thought their fans were a fine example to all RL fans everywhere.

They got more fnas to the JJB than Huddersfield amd London and Halifax combined. They sung the whole match.

Tremendous. If the Lions can keep their club afloat, in the short term, their support must ensure that they will have a secure future. Hopefully they can make it all the way to Super League in time...

Well done Lions

And I thought my eye sight had gone too...

Glad someone else thought the ref was guilty of some dubious decisions - why was our 'first' try disallowed and their second one given when they looked exactly the same from where I was sitting ... except theirs looked the more obvious knock on (I presume in ours they said Terry N had knocked on ...about the only thing the 'officials' saw all game - totally missed the punch thrown at My Beloved in first half!!!)

There were some very entertaining displays of skill - and a few 'dodgey' ones - Mr Stu is right consistency is the key...

Does anyone know if My Ginger Hunk is ok? - he was carrying his left arm for about the last 15mins - his wrist seemed to be giving him gip ... I was dragged back to the car before I could dash over and adninister first aid !!!!!

What a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon - sunshine and Rugby League ....

ref`s..

Post by wolftown warrior »

yeah, i thought the same thing magsrads, but i`m guessing with the score line as it was it was irrelivent to the game, so the ref let it slide...

saw radlinski hold is forarm after he delievered a crunching tackle, seemsed bothered for a few mins by it, but he played on anyhow, so it musn`t have been to bad, prob. dead arm..

i thought we were suberb today, everyone who wen must have KNEW we were gonna win, it was to me anyhow, how we delt with the opposition, & i thought we are superb,

has anyone heard the draw yet?

Semis draw

Post by Vicki »

The semi-final draw is tomorrow night at the Millennium Stadium. I think it's being broadcast on BBC Wales & GMR. Ceefax update their page pretty quickly afterwards as well if you can't get either of those.

I reckon a Wigan-Saints semi to warm people up for the final. Will be nice to see some proper rugby at last!

If KR needs anybody to bring his arm back to life I'm sure there are a few volunteers here!

not impressed

Post by wanny »

well i have to say i was notimpressed for the first 25 mins, although the play after that was very good. Glad switon scored the first try as a got 14,1 odds on them doing so (what a steal) as everyone else in the south stand was groaning i was YIPPPEEEE! :0)

Anyway good to see my old team keeping with the big boys for 25 mins they were a credit to 2nd division rugby. It was also nice to see thier fans singing.

Why have the drummers moved from the south stand surely the south standers join in more with the singing the the west stand do?

also on a final note did anyone notice what the war babes were wearing before kick off (sweating all over) fine looking girls if i say so myself.

bring on saints
