Jonkers signs

Post by adrenalinxx »

Wigan have got Tim Jonkers on a one month loan from Salford City Reds. Jonkers used to play for St Helens but lost his first team place and lost his first team place at Salford.

So will he be good enough?

Tim Jonkers. Taken from www.wiganwarriors.com

"Wigan Warriors have today signed Tim Jonkers on a months loan from Salford City Reds.

With injuries to Iafeta Paleaaesina ,Gareth Hock, Scott Logan and Harrison Hansen, the Warriors have moved to strengthen the forward line ahead of Friday's game at Bradford Bulls.

Jonkers is 24 years old and is currently on the books at The Willows. He has also played under Ian Millward at St.Helens.

Jonkers will be given squad number 31.

I love that bit. Tim will be another body. Tim won't strengthen the pack or add another dimension to our attack whilst strengthening our defence...
Tim is just another body.

Shades of Sunday league football teams here phoning your pals up at 10.30am to come and play...
It's hardly a glowing report on the lad but i always thought he seems a solid player in defence and attack, nothing special but won't (hopefully) do anything wrong.

I agree completely.
We have signed Jonkers, we tried to sign Mason.
Can anyone tell me why the hell we don't recall Danny Sculthorpe from Cas.?
Or am I missing something ?

As I understand it, the loan contract states there is no recall for the duration of this season.

Because:
1. he has a broken hand (or at least a very injured hand)
2. we can't - there is no recall clause in his loan agreement.

1 thing though he might have a bit of pride and give it all hes got. Most are not doing that at the moment.
