(Very) Old games on pathe news

Post by Cleveland Pieman »

Have just discovered the pathe news website that shows highlights of old news reels. Can download 1-2 minute clips for free. Go in the site and do a search on 'Wigan' for loads of great stuff.

To see the old legends play is brilliant. I have just watched Cec Mountford lift the Challenge Cup after beating Barrow in the 50s.

Can even see the 1929 final at Wembley! Knowing old family members were at the game is strange! I imagine it will be best for broadband though.

try www.britishpathe.com

Enjoy
