And so he should be.This may upset some people but rads as water boy this week pat should get the centre posistion BUT if you where in the south stand you will have seen why rads is still out there and not just shouting to the lads from side line. When orr missed a tackle and was layed down in the try zone rads was shouting at him like really screaming at him and he obvously makes a huge difference as in getting the lads up for it and getting there minds on the game....But pat should have the centre role with rads coming on to talk to them?? what do you think ?????

Sorry BigKarl but i dont agree, Pat Richards is a very good winger and has proved himself there and is scoring for fun in the under 21's BUT he is not a centre in my opinion this has been tried and didnt work, he is a good strong winger but for some reason he isnt strong enough defensivly in the centre's.

I can understand that you may think radlinksi isnt doing much in attack but his defense cannot be faulted, i thought he was superb against wakefield and solomono (who only scored when he moved wings) Rads had him marked out of the game when he attacked down his wing.

Unfortunatly for richards both calderwood and dallas are currently playing the best the have all season so it looks like it might be a bit more time on the side lines for pat.

No. Richards has been tried at centre enough, and been less than impressive. He needs to be patient, in case either Calderwood or Dallas gets an injury, and failing that work towards getting Dallas' spot next season.

I agree richards proved himself the last time he played first team rugby to be a liability with poor positioning,

Keep with whats winning

may be put him on bench and see what happens,

Did you see Richards playing centre earlier in the season?

Obviously not - he managed to conclusively prove that he is a winger, definitely not a center. He's been playing on the wing in the U21s and produced his best form on the wing for the first team. If we bring him back in, it has to be on the wing!.

More likely, he would replace dallas, or vaealiki would come in if Rads needs a rest.

Personally if any changes are needed at all (which I would say not at the present time) I would like to see Rads revert to fullback with Ashton given a rest (not dropped, just a break) and a reshuffling of the centres.

if it isnt broke then don't fix it. we have 2 form wingers in calderwood and dallas and it would be ashame for them to lose a place when they have been scoring and playing well. mcavoy is turning out to be a good loan buy and has proved the critics wrong with recent performances. radlinski came back to help the team and hasnt put a foot wrong so far so why should he lose his place and i don't really need to comment on ashton do i? :conf: . maybe this is being said as noble sees richards as the opposite winger to calderwood next season. by saying he'll get first team football and then giving it to him he may be trying to persuade pat to stay rather than looking for a new winger for next year.

Im glad in a way that richards might be back in the team. When he played for the aussies, he was a awesome player. It might of taken him this long to play as good as he can do for us.

It might be like wigan in a way. From the start of the season till five games ago, they wasn't playing their best. Then all of a sudden, they start kicking ass. I know that we got rads back and we got fielden. Richards just might be the player that puts that little bit more effort in that wigan need to keep on winning the games.

But then we will just wait and find out and see what happens.

lol well sorrrrrieee but thats what I think and yes I did see him at the start of the season. But you name a player that was playing well in there posisition then ....... P.s there is a few wigan fans I no who think rads is being played for his name and because of his leadership skills I would agree he is there is no way rads would drop so many balls like in top form but his leadership skills and also the way he speaks is one reason he is being played

Well, whatever he's doing it's working.

I posted last week that dropping Richards was a ploy on Brian Nobles statergy look what happened to Calderwood when he was dropped he came back a better player so will Richards .Competetion for places is the best motivation for a player .Richards knows now that his place is not automatic he has to earn that right to be picked.
