It would be tragic enough to lose Godwin at the end of the season to Hull but to lose Ashton as well?!?!?! Deary me today. Get him signing a new contract Wigan - immediately!!!!!!

It would have far reaching consequences if he goes to Union. GB is certainly going to suffer in a couple of years if the RL let him go to yawnion.

The rumour posted elsewhere was the the Tigers were looking at Calderwood not Ashton.

So who knows but I think everyone has assumed Ashton will get the No. 1 jersey next season and if we can't keep hold of a 19 year old player there is something wrong somewhere.

I agree Dave, I also seem to remember something about Calderwood thinking about Union before he signed for us, but he said he has too many ambitions left in League.
