The Rugby Football League has conceded for the first time that there is no guarantee next year's Challenge Cup final will be played at the new Wembley.

I just got this gut feeling we will make the final

Hopefully Wembley... the stadiums' latest pictures show interiors are spick and pan... all seats are in, grass is on...

Just needs the council to get off their backsides and do several safety tests involving a few thousand people.

Got Google updates for Wembley on my E-Mails at work. The opening dates keep going forward (the latest one being July 2007) as Ancientandloyal says the owners of Wembley have a lot of safety checks to fulfill to get certificates to ensure 80,000 or so people come to no harm. Plus electrical work and other logistics. The Aussie firm that is building it has still not sorted out the problem with the supplier of the steel (the judge said they must sort it out between them out of court). It is turning into a farce, Wembley owners blaming the Aussie firm and visa- versa. Hopefully we will be opening the new stadium, Wigan Warriors V's Anyone - but I bet it will be the other shaped ball that is allowed that privilege.

The builders are Multiplex and there as been major problems on the legal side with sub contractorswho have been working for them.

I bet it does not open in time for next years Rugby Final

and i dnt think it should be played there anyway, Old trafford is plenty big enough and in the NORTH

Last thing I heard was that everyone is just hoping that Wembley will be open in time for the 2012 Olympics.
