According to one of the daily papers on Friday he has got cancer, I think it was in the stomach. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.

Hull FC support Steve Prescott in difficult times
21 Sep 2006

Hull FC would like to send their support to former player Steve Prescott who is suffering from cancer.
The 32-year-old former Hull FC, St Helens and Great Britain full back is currently awaiting further medical news and all at Hull FC would like to wish Steve and his family all the best in this difficult time.
Hull FC, St Helens RLFC and the wider world of Rugby League are currently initiating fundraising efforts and will keep supporters informed as the coming days and weeks progress.
Steve Prescott would like to thank all Rugby League supporters for their over whelming messages of support.

Get well soon steve!

:( Not good at all. I have read elsewhere he has 2 months to live. The cancer has invaded all his vital organs and is terminal. So sad when anybody dies young, particularly a young man who played in such a sporting manner.
