this has been raised plenty a time. Thing is, Orr didnt do much during his time at Wigan and only showed good rugby half way through 2006. Wigan thought it'd be good to get him out and bring in someone 'better' or ounger to fit in with Nobles restructuring and building for the future. Im not going to question Noble's tactic, im behind him... even though danny orr may love wigan, sadly after 3 years perhaps his performances werent enough.

Is it a bad think if players are thinking "am I next" we don't want players who think they are safe at Wigan and can do what ever they want they want people who are putting everything into every game because at the end of the day it could be their jobs at wigan on the line.

Trent Barrett is a world class player and there is no doubt that he has talent and skill but one player does not make a team, the rest of the players have to work well with Barrett and Barrett has to adapt to the English game.

We can't really say too much on the Orr situation yet as we are not 100% sure who will replace him at Wigan, for all we know it could be another superstar or we could have resigned Dobson but it is more likley that Leuluai will be Orr replacement but that is not 100%.

I find syatements like this too simplistic because they give the impression that Orr was never injured, we didn't have a bully as coach for the end of 2005 the seaosn and the first part of this, we didn't have an inexperienced coach in Betts in charge, the Mike Gregory situation and so on.

Wigan over the last two or three seasons has been a basket case off the field and for me the most significant thing regarding Orr was how he looked a different player under Noble when Noble had come in and in a very short space of time got things back on track. Prior to that we were a rudderless ship in the coaching department and have been for the majority of Orr's time at the club.

Orr is a very god player and while Barrett may be a better stand off and may even be world class, but at the end of the day how much better will he be than Orr was at the end of 2006?

We have a big weakness in the centres and yet we swap a very good stand off for one that may be better.

And that is assuming Orr would not make a better scrum half than the expected replacement which I for one don't think is a forgone conclusion.

If Orr is as gutted as the O/P suggests it seems pretty clear to me the way his exit was handled is not what I would expect from Noble. I would expect him to be up front and simply say to Orr he didn't figure in his plans.

Instead we have Orr clearly at a bit of a loss as to why, despite his efforts, it he has been made to feel unwanted at the club.

I can only assume this means Noble is not fully in control because that is just not his style. If there are any cliques or if there is any interferance from Mo then we won't be successful until Noble assumes full control.
Wigan thought it'd be good to get him out and bring in someone 'better' or ounger to fit in with Nobles restructuring and building for the future. Im not going to question Noble's tactic, im behind him... even though danny orr may love wigan, sadly after 3 years perhaps his performances werent enough.
So why has Orr simply not been told up front by Noble he is not part of his team builting plans? Orr gives the impression of being forced out.

We have the salary cap being used as an excuse by Mo again to explain his exit but have the player saying he didn't want to leave.

At no point has anyone from the club come out and said he is no longer at Wigan because he is not part of the coaches plans and certainly not to Orr himself.

This is not the way to run a club.
