another rumour... I will be waiting for the results especially after a hectic transfer season at Wigan, we must be over after Fielden etc...

but the RFL dont get the books until november or so do they? so how can they say we have 12 points deducted??

Seuseu was on a big wage, then add James, Wilkes, Hargreaves, Prescott, Kev Brown and GLeeson, I think that would more than cover Fieldens wage.

Yes we signed Fielden mid way but Jerry retired and we let go a lot of players after that. Brown and a few went to Widnes.

RFL looked at that deal in particular and said there was nothing wrong.

Seems people are pissed off we survived. Though 12 point deduction next season would be disaster.

Apparently we spent Â£2.7 million (RFLFans rumor) but need to take into account all the wages that comes through the club. Millward was paid to go remember. Id be surprised if we went over.

How this for a thought we sign Fielden he plays for a small amount for the first few months of his contract and then goes up to the big money we all think hes on. Jerry was highly paid as well and people seem to miss that point.

Im just saying when are the books checked? november? have wigan even sent them off yet?

after all this seasons' comings and goings.. wigan will be over but not as much as last year i hope... not enough that we get a points deduction, just a fine or a slap like wakey did. Not 6 points (or 12) surely... but i personally am expecting us to be just over - with no punishment (except for a small fine which is pocket money)

if you don't believe this rumour then fair enough, but let me just say something to support bad_guy. i posted a similar rumour last season saying we would get docked 2 points and no one believed me then, look what happened a few days later. so before people start pushing it aside, id take it on board as anything these days could be true. everyone was saying fielden wouldnt happen, it did. the 2 points, it did. brian noble, it did. so before you all start screaming 'false accusation' i think we should wait to see what happens. i now for a fact that his source is a very, very big RL fan, not just wigan and she very rarely gets things wrong.

and the coaches wages dont come under the sallary cap ,theses are just rumours from clubs peed off because we survived ie

and the clubs fom the lower leagues still 12 points could just stop us from winning the league next year

As ancient'n'loyal says, the accounting year isn't even over yet, so there's no way anyone can know how much we've spent. It's like saying you're speeding before you've even reached the camera.

thought it had been looked into when we signed fielden last season and we were fine.

dont forget we got got rid of players and big named players have left ie dallas and radlinski.

I'm a very big RL Fan.
I've heard that there are lots of rumours going round that are completely unsubstanciated.
The RFL would not have audited the books yet, so how can a fan possibly know what the RFL are going to decide.
anyway, it hasn't come from your Nan, so can't be true!
