They are two very different types of player.

Give the lad credit for the tireless effort he puts in every game in defence.

he might put all these tacles in, but in how many of those tackles he gets credit for is he actualy the third man in and just lies on the man, still it is an improvement on his head high tackles :sly:

Gibberish. Hanley was the best player at Wigan in the last 30 years, and that applies to his defence as well as his attack. He regularlt topped the tackle count in teams that included Ian Potter, Phil Clarke and the like.

What i am saying is their styles of play are very different.

Hanley is the best player i have ever seen and probably one of the best players ever to play rugby. A true legend.

However, this doesnt mean lockers is no good just because he isnt as good as hanley.

There is no loose forward in superleague as good as hanley.

hanley was a fantastic player but the best for 30 years? im not sure about that. are we saying he was the best in his position or overall the best player we have had? lockers is a good player! nothing special but he is wigan born and bred and will only get better.

Please let’s not mention Lockers in the same sentence as Hanley. I could go on and on and on about this one but to put it simple.

You couldn't mention any of the current squad as having the class and ability of Hanley. Thing is, this current squad is what we have, they are what we support, and most do that. So please, wind your neck in.
