Re: Season Predictions Lea...
all you need is a spreadsheet. i reckon it will take up 30 mins of time each week after matches

Re: Season Predictions Lea...
Its a great idea. There was a similar thing done on the Wakefield Wildcats forum (official one I think). Their criteria was simpler, just winners and scores. One guy coordinated it and published a weekly update and an invite each week on a thread to post the predictions. Unfortunately my work seems to have closed my access to that forum and every other bar this one. But it may be worth you logging on and messaging him to ask what was involved and how they did it, although their numbers were small, probably many more people on here would take part.
Re: Season Predictions Lea...
would this be for just home games or will away games be included?

Re: Season Predictions Lea...
I think for ease of collating data, maybe doing for home games only and we would need to set up a register for those who want to take part.
I'll have a dabble on excel this afternoon and see if I can knock something up

It is a great idea, but I would give far more points to getting teh attendance exactly right - that would be an amazing guess (for home matches, less so away at Wakefield).

Re: Season Predictions Lea...
Right then.
suggest we trial for the first game and see how it pans out.
Coaches MOM (SS Bar after game) 5 points
Attendance spot on = 20 points, +/- 200 10 points, +/- 500 5 points, +/- 1000 1 point.
1st Try if a Forward nominated 10 points, back nominated 5 points
When you start trying to figure out the final scores is when it gets difficult as the for and against cocks up the formula.
Think this should be enough for now.
Anyway, if everyone is happy with the format and points scoring, can I suggest we limit to the first 20 or so, as otherwise it's going to get out of control. Use names as per login ID's for ease of identifying.
All predictions to be in by 7.00pm the day BEFORE the games are scheduled to be played
