Eating place

Post by Panchitta Marra »

Has anyone got any suggestions for a place for reasonable meal before Fridays game. Nothing too fancy, just casual. Pub grub would be fine. I am not too familiar with the area, travelling from Cumbria.
Thanks,
Pan.

The Robbin is located 200m from the stadium and is a 2 for 1 pub, but I suspect it will be packed full of people for the match so go early.

depends what time u get into wigan cos friday night the town centre (moon under water etc...) would start to be populated by divorced 40 year olds and men.

you also have Frankie and Benny's just round the corner (follow the road past the front of the JJB).
Again, with a near full house expected, it might be a tad busy!

How about TAPAS (not sure if thats spelt right) at Bar Med, you can park away from the ground and miss the huge que at the end of the night. Plus it tastes good.

Froma fellow marra, If you have a season ticket or pay a pound you can get something with rice at the south stand bar.

Failing that, if you get into the SS bar, there's usually food available before the game (pies always laid on and last season they did a mean chilli (with a good side serving of pickled chilli's)
