David Vaealiki

In a night of so many negatives, i think DV played quite well.worked hard, made lots of tackles and ran strongly.
could not believe the first half.I would never boo a wigan side but boy did i come close at half time.no heart,no passion.and its no wonder that trent barrett has been playing injured without him there is no leader.

Could not agree more and as a sinner come to Jesus I do not understand the comments on another thread where Veivers seems to have singled out DV for criticism in the bar after the game.He was trying hard again last night. I think that Barrett and o'Carroll must be thanking their lucky stars that they were not on the pitch last night.

Vievers didn't single out DV or any other player.
Just the whole squad and coaches.

Vaeliki for me on such a poor first 40 mins of the Wigan team was one of our better performers .MOM in my opinion.

i didn't boo but i did a hell of alot of swearing. ive only booed them off once agaisnt quinns last sason but i came very, very close last night. that first half was a shambles. me and the barmy army at the top (not the rioters) would have had alot more pride in the shirt and i don't even play rugby for a team!

I do think the Qunis was the worse of the 2 games as we were awful for the 80 in that one. Last night second half was much better.

DV is certainly trying hard which makes it worse almost because he still cannot break a tackle :(

I cannot believe people praising Vaealiki!
He is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. He must be doing something fantastic in training to justify being in the squad never mind on the team. His gait doesn't enamour oneself to his game I know, but that aside, he is a centre and centres are primerily bought to feed his winger with quality ball and to set him free, up the wing or otherwise, to score.
I don't think Vaealiki has set his winger free in all the time he has been at this club. The tackling, I saw him miss as many tackles as I saw him help with on Friday, the worst one being in the second half when an opposing player walked through him, three yards from our own line, a try was only prevented by some scrambling defence by his team mates. MOM? The mans an international? HELP! I want my job description to read as good as he's, the world my oyster yet! even at my age.
