Re: Wigan v Lobby gobblers
Well done to Leigh. Intense game of players and speccies. We'll get over it. Do we have an attendance? 21,748 Surprised to see such a low attendance figure seeing as I missed the game through being told it was not possible to buy two seats together. The stadium map showed a sprinkling of single sea...

Re: Bevan French
A bit difficult to compare over 120 years, Ancient and Loyal! Anyway, I've been watching since 1968 and I think Bevan French is right up there with Hanley, Offiah, Gregory and Ashurst for the ability to take your breath away with spontaneous brilliance. If you want a short list from antiquity, I wou...

Re: Wigan squad for Warrington (R19)
<t>Not much to add to what's been said, but it seemed to me a big factor was the slowness of our play the ball. It was wasy for Warrington to stop our "go forward" because their line speed took them into our forward's faces as soon as they received the ball. Field and French absences not relevant th...

Re: Liam Byrne
We should take into account the difficulty the props have in getting into the flow when they haven't had much recent game time. Both Byrne and Hill struggled against Saints and that's the main reason in my view. It's a fundamental weakness in our game that we don't have a proper reserve competition ...

Re: Bevan French
Kenny was a complete player, and would have been good as a fullback in the modern game too. I think his reputation was tarnished, however, by his final appearance in the Premiership semi-final at St Helens in the week after Wembley, when he clearly didnt want to be there and helped to ensure the tea...

Re: East Stand Queues
Just finished writing a complaint to the club about the ticketing system on Friday. Spent half an hour trying to buy tickets to the East Stand online from around 6pm, but failed because it kept timing out. This caused a last minute arrival at the ticket office where there was a short queue, but was ...

Re: Challenge Cup Winners 2024!
A terrific performance all round, but I think the defence was the decisive quality. Making Williams run across field all the time is the key to making him ineffective - we saw that often enough when he played for us. Good to see the near 65,000 attendance, which proves the resiliance of the Challeng...

Re: Well done boys
Agree everybody played well today, but being hyper-critical I do worry that Harvie Hill may struggle against the Catalans pack. I would take the risk and put Havard in. Willie Isa went well enough after so long out. It was especially good to see the combination on our left side for the two Marshall ...
