Re: Tonight's game v Wakefield
Game was lost as soon as Havard went off after 6 minutes. Without Havard and Ellis our front row is weak. Every team would suffer to some extent with their best two props missing, but few teams in the top half of the table see such a drop off from their two best props to their next best. Byrne, Sing...

Re: Kruise Leeming joins Wigan from 2024
Definitely a quality player on his day. He's a dangerous runner but also not too bad with his distribution either. A long way from the finished article and a bit to work on in his game but hooker is a role where improvement often comes with experience. Surely this is the end of the line for Powell a...

Re: Havard signs four-year deal
This is even more important than a new signing. If you were looking for a player of the season so far I think it would be between him and French. Obviously we need to bring in some reinforcements so he has the right players around him but he would get into every single team in the comp which is some...

Re: Kaide Ellis Red card incident
Can't really defend Ellis as it was incredibly dumb. I really don't see what Ratchford could possibly have said to him to get him wound up but I have a suspicion it wasn't much of anything, which is concerning. Once teams know a player is easy to get at they will keep targeting them. I know it wasn'...

Re: Goalkicking wins games!
I'm fairly certain Shorrocks kicked a few goals while in the academy. Never first choice but filled in. I can't be sure though now that Bilko's website with all the historic academy results and lineups has gone. What a great resource that was. Although it might have been that Shorrocks was there to ...

Re: Squad v Wire
Where have Smiths kicking boots been since last time we played Wire and what a difference Ethan Havard made . Well done to everyone but how did Singleton get away with only doing 45 minutes in a 12 match team . He did a lot less than 45 minutes. Byrne and Hill were swapping throughout and with Elli...

Re: Squad v Wire
I know Smith was given man of the match but Havard was outstanding in that game. I think he played about 65 minutes in total having just returned from injury and was involved in so many of the good things that we did. He really is a special player and you can see the difference he makes to the team....

Re: DW
I don't feel this is the good news we want it to be. Danson obviously is a smart business man. Will he want to invest in Wigan RL and Athletics or will he look to sell his stake in RL? Supporting two loss making operations can't be sustainable can it? Still feel the dw needs scrapping and rebuildin...

Re: Isa
Is it just coincidence that since he's been out, our defence on that edge has gone to pot? Just occurred to me reading Peet talking about injuries I think his absence is noticeable because he's probably the best defender we have on that edge, but I don't think it's the biggest issue. I think our pr...

Re: Amor Spot On
Partington basically embodied the issues mentioned in the original post. He put in plenty of effort but wasn't built like most forwards and just couldn't make much ground with the ball in hand. What we really lack is strong ball carriers so I don't see how much of a difference Partington would have ...
