Lockyer would be an excellent signing IMO, so long as he comes in 2009 and not 2010. Imagine a player like this tutoring young Sam Tomkins.

I think it would be well worth it, but not if we have to wait until the year when Tomkins should really be breaking through into the first team.

I have it on pretty good authority that he'll be fit to play from the start of next season, and that he''ll probably play in our pre-season programme as well.
