Yes it was; Bibey was all over him. No different to the first one (Horne) IMO. The third & fourth ones were both justified too.binder the drummer posted:

Didnt think you could take the quick restarts antmore untill all were onside. Calderwood used to do it but its been outlawed now. So pointless him doing it.
Agreed with the Bibey one as they were warned and were slowing play down.

The game is reaching a critical point as regards wrestling/holding the ball carrier down is concerned.

Re: Bentham is mad
i was disgusted with the first card!
a players reaction is to play to the whistle or off instinct. elima presumed that raynor was running out of his in goal returning the ball as it wasnt clear whether or not he had defused the kick, so all elima was doing was playing on throguh instinct and trying to stop raynor goin anywhere. not worth a sending off as referees never let quick taps happen anymore!
the stacey jones was blatant, he saw we were trying to restart and he knocked the blal with his hand, if he'd have been running and the ball hit him and he didn't know then fair enough, but he made a clear grab for it.

The first sin binning.
I thought at the time he was justified in tackling the opposing player, I saw nothing wrong with it until it was shown from another angle, then I saw that the ball was caught behind the line on the full. Did the tackling player think the same?
Anyway I think the referee had a very good game, the two sides were told to clean up their act, they did not! So the referee acted accordingly, simply black and white. I wish our games were reffed in a similar manner, then again, Hock and Ashton would never be on the field.

Bentham had already blown his whistle, so yes, Elima should have played to the whistle and not tackled Raynor.

Wakefield push the boundaries and thus should always have a penalty count against them. Whether Bentham lost patience / became stressed and made the odd error is open to debate. What it not is that Wakefield defensive game is based upon killing the game and they are coached to do so.
