Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

I did wonder why but it makes sense really. Photo finishes in a horserace can be varyingly deceptive from course to course depending on the position of the camera in relation to the post. You could end up with a whole load of dodgy angles in a match as the pass in question could be anywhere.
...but it'd be a lot easier wouldn't it if the horse with its foot crossing the line first won. Easier to see on the camera.

So, c'mon Rob, was that pass forward or not, you've not actually commented on it only to say you've not seen a replay. You surely must have seen it again by now??
Still not seen it... expected Saints to win so didn't record it.

How will you ever become a good referee if you never know what a forward pass looks like?

But on the bright side you'll be in good company as none of the pro's know either
I watch plenty of matches... missing that one won't hurt.

Unfortunately when sides play to the very edge of the rulebook it makes it difficult for officials. What appears to be forward by all in the crowd could infact be perfectly flat when released, thus legitimate. However, when teams play right to the edge of the rules they sometimes (not that often) cross the boundary and it gets missed.

I'm not so sure... I think it's always been that the ball must not be propelled forwards.
