After serving as a doorman for nearly ten years I am all too familiar of what it is like to always be in the wrong (in some people's eyes) and to suffer a mountain of abuse with little chance for reply.
I have had to make snap decisions under pressure (probably more pressure than the average ref as they aren't in any real danger!) and on occasion I have made mistakes - however I fully admitted them when I was in the wrong; something that most refs seem unable to do!
