noble says on offical website he's just turned an ankle and should be ok for friday! :conf:
Although that was at midnight last night or some such thing. Today's news might well be different...

OK, whilst we're discussing the injury situation lets put our thinking caps on.

Imagine the worst case scenario (hopefully not though :eusa10:)
Calders & Feka are out injured / Millard has been banned, what team should Nobby field against Leeds on Friday.

Mine would be:

Richards
Goulding
Bailey
Vaealiki
Colbon
Barrett
Leuluai
Fielden
Higham
Fletcher
Hock
Hansen
O'Loughlin

SUBS
McIlorum
Prescott
O'Carroll
Hill
Agree
Maybe worth giving Stanton a start a bit of a wild card but he has pace and would allow Baily to go to second row at some point , think if Calderwood does not play we need some true pace out wide , would replace Hill or Ocarol with Goulding .
I'd be inclined to go with another back as well, perhaps in place of Hill. Having both Prescott and O'Carroll on the bench gives us flexibility to move Fletch between front and back row to allow Nobby's rotation in the back row. A reserve back in case of injury would certainly not go amiss.

It's officially a broken ankle. On the website and BBC. Noble's being a bit intriguing....any chance they might name a new signing early as a replacement or look for a loan player? It IS make or break after all (if you pardon the pun).

We can't play anybody outside of our own squad now. The deadline for registering players has passed. Think it was changed after Morley and Johns joined the bulls and wire for the playoffs a few seasons ago.

The most likely replacement is Goulding on the wing - the only other option that immediately springs to mind would be to bring Stanton in from the academy - however that would be like painting a huge bullseye on him...

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

I would have been amazed if it wasnt broken. The way his entire leg seemed to bend the wrong way as Raynor (i think it was) ploughed through the back of him was gruesome. :conf:
