I think he will do OK for us. He is the sort of signing we have, since the introduction of the salary cap been citisised for NOT making. He is also 26 and so should have the right blend of youth and experience.

What I mean is he is good solid player that does not cost the earth and some would say you need a squad with a pretty large core of such players to do well in SL.

We have a few injuries and we are playing several ex-academy players whereas other teams seem to have similar players to Guisett in reserve. I am not sure how true that is or if other teams have just been lucky injury-wise but Leeds fans are forever going on about how deep their squad is.

It does seem to me that a squad of players of the standard of Guisett is what teams aspire to these days given the salary cap. That is not knocking Guisett but despite all the fuss about SBW there are few truly outstanding players being signed by any cub at the moment. I reckon one factor in that is that some sides hoave decided the salary cap dictates the best way to put a squad together is to spend it on capable, rather than out and out great players.

So if he wasn't good enough for a new contract at Warrington your saying let him come to Wigan. How standards have dropped.

NO i'm saying if you read what primrose and blue said, he left warrington for personal issues with the coach, standards may have slipped but do you see a line of props winding their way around the JJB making themselves available to play for us as early as friday??

Mrs Carney has got me all wrong i dont hate everything Wigan do i just like to see us sign the best. Not other clubs rejects with Faz going we should be looking at a Willie Mason or a Mark O'Mealey not Jerome

Maybe he had some faith in davico and thought we could actually get the best out of his last few years, Guisset is only 25ish, scullys age none of us have seen him play for a while so we will have to reserve our judgement until friday night!

Looks like he's playing prop from what I've read. Would make sense I suppose. He doesn't seem to have a 'set' position.

You can do all the looking in the world but would the likes of Mason be interested? Or do you think perhaps he is more concerned with an Australia national team career? You can only sign who's available. It seems you lack some contact with the real world. We can't just sign the best in the world in each position, it doesn't work like that anymore.
