Do you not think that all the chopping and changing with the squads over the past few seasons has disrupted us enough.
Moan when we sign players on extended contracts, moan when we don't sign players on for long enough.
Come on then, whats the answer? :conf:
Well do you think the current squad is the answer? Do you not see any deficiencies in it you'd like rectified? Signing virtually the entire team up means there has got to be less scope to bring players in for positions we need to do so.

It's a shame Barrett is going because that is yet another new half back pairing in 2009 but the addition we are rumoured to be making i.e. Carney seem very odd when the problems lie elsewhere - the pack.

I'd be less bothered if we had a new coach as I am sure a different one could make more of this squad than Noble has managed over the last two seasons.

In any case isn't the argument for Noble that "Its not his team"? Well we seem intent on signing this team that isn't his up long term!

Mathers just kills ne. I can go back to the very early 80's re fullbacks and struggle to think of one worse. Sorry but even Doc Murray was better than Miss Cheerleader. He is a walking disaster. Not being very good is bad enough but he is also miss calamity and a season of this muppet getting suspending 2 or 3 times is too much.

Noble is clueless. He is still trying to play RL from 5 or more years ago. Now he is Cullen MKII, talks a good game but cannot deliver.

Fire Mathers and keep micky higham, I'm not higham greatest fan but he does at least try and gives 100%.
Mathers was good at Leeds but here is a nightmare to watch.
As for another iffy aussie player, surely we can find better than that.
Makes me so mad WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR OWN LADS IN THE ACADAMIES FOR GOODNESS SAKE.

Why take up a position on the quota for some one who has been kicked out for ill disipline.
Lets go get Mozza of wire instead. He's at least british and can play.

thats not going to solve any problem, fire a full back and keep a hooker? its obvious that riddell and mcillorum will be our hookers next year and mathers is going to be our full back. I just hope mathers has a second season like pats second season with us! I seriously hope richie makes fans like you eat his words, your saying he doesnt try? course he does. Hes not had the best of luck over the last couple of years and fans getting on his back has not helped him.

Simple the aussies develop quicker than our academy lads. I think weve seen it with the likes of goulding and mcillorum this year. Clearly they are not ready for a full season of super league rugby. I like the fact that Goulding has been given a break because he was becoming the scapegoat and hes an exceptional talent.

Is this regarding tim smith or todd carney??? I presume todd carney. Well if leuluai has unexpectidly come of quota why not give this carney a chance, hes not going to demand much money really and it will allow us time to bring sam tomkins through. Morley from warrington? is that realistic??? In the eyes of the salary cap we can not go out and buy everyone.

Hi CP. No that's not the case RE blanket increases. Some of the players took immediate salary drops (and in some cases no salary for 3 months) but took combinations of longer contracts and/or phased increases in salary. This is why our salary cap movement is still restricted now. As some monies become available from players leaving, the slack is taken straight away by contracted inflations in contracts.

In our panic year, Maurice's strategy to deal with the short term problems is still hampering us now - I can't see our recruitment position radically improving for at least another season.

I concur that everything still seems incredibly messy Rich.

I am hoping Carney is just a smokescreen as I would think signing a prop is more important.
