if u read a lot of comments throughout the forums u will see that an awful lot of people are slatin phelps, mathers, ridell and smith, but yet most of u who posted your teams which i thank u for doin, would play them, now im confused.com, so are these players any good or not???? if not y play them, y not bring in some from reserves like wot saints leeds bradford would do, big players do not mean big games, loyalty passion and pride when u pull on a wigan shirt that the players we want, not just there for the wage, sayin that i no most of us prob hate our jobs and would rather be elsewhere, same as half the team if u ask me, a job is a job no matter wot u do, and therefore the only way to make wigan good again is a team of players that want to play for wigan, to be part of that big stage, people who put in 100%, that is wot wigan are lackin at present, pride in the cherry and white, and like i said a job is a job!!!!!!! so u cant win

Not really.

From 11 team choices, only 2 have Phelps, 3 have Smith, and nobody has Mathers. Riddell, yeah, but only because we can't drop both Smith and Riddell without being short of a half-back.

fair point i was halfway to bein drunk when readin,surely there must be plenty in the reserves who ggive these players a run for there money, if not on a permanent basis to give these big money players a kick up the arse

There are indeed, but Noble won't give them a chance unless forced by injuries/suspensions.
