Just to add, Noble will not leave Wigan this season, if he leaves it will be at end of this season but to be honest it wouldn't suprise me if I.L sticks with him, stranger things have happened at Wigan just recently........ :conf:
Can't see how we would know before the man himself, sounds silly actualy, still wouldn't believe the Lammy rumour until i see it, think its more of wishfull thinking......... :conf:

Not sure why Lam being coach is something to wish for. He hasn't got the experience. Noble going is one thing but replacing him with Lam would be a populist decision not one based on his coaching credentials which would not cover half an A4 page.
One day he may have the experience to be a good coach but I could not understand IL wanting to take a risk on such an unproven coach.
Taking this thread to the rediculous it makes the other threads currently running a farse. Most of the current traffic is about Noble leaving Ainscough out. Now if this thread is right we have the case that he did not leave Ainscough out because he was fired before the teamlist was announced,

Dave
That's true, Dave, but I still the the biggest problems we have are down to man-management issues and motivation, rather than technical/tactical deficiencies (though those exist too, of course). If we had a coach that could get the current players playing to the best of their abilities, the playing style would take care of itself to a large degree.
What were the reasons why Noble's Bradford were soo successful and dominant then? Did his particular coaching style suit those particular players or did they just have good players who, geoff suggests, their style of play took care of itself to a large degree?
I have been told Noble told the players he would be leaving on Wednesday. A Big meeting took place on Thursday. Wane caretaker, Lam for 2010.
Merits of Lam? Currently an assistant coach in the NRL. Up to date with NRL coaching and tactics; Excellent knowlege of NRL talent and good links to that talent; Links to top quality NRL backroom staff?; Young so energy / motivation high. Experience of England / SL; Did very well at Wigan as U21s coach.
Question mark of Lam? Never been a first grade coach
Who is available? Who can we attract? Morgan had not been a coach, Potter likewise.
