It was certainly 10,000 initially, and I hadn't heard it had been increased. Still says 10k on the LSV site.

LSV doesnt have a capacity on yet as its work in progress on the site. Was originally set for 10k but then they had a terrace instead of all seater. As their site says its a 10k seater stadium, obviously havent updated it yet the lazy lobbies :)

Tickets for the West in the post. It took Mick Hogan to sort out the inept ticket office though.
Tried 4 times to get through and kept getting cut off (at the cost of nearly a fiver on my mobile). emailed him and was sorted PDQ. As per the other MH thread, i'm glad there is someone there who knows what they are doing.

i think its a good move having the game at the stobart stadium.

rugby league is not attracting big crowds at present.

take the magic weekends for example - there was about 30k there over the whole weekend.. thats just 15k per day.
it looked pathetic on tv just how empty the stadium was.

having the game at the stobart virtually ensures a sellout, and a good atmosphere.

people saying the game should be held at eastlands - why should it be there when it would not sell out?

it is better to have a full ground with a great atmosphere than have it at a stadium with as many empty seats as people!

There is also a possiblity that more than 5,000 fans from both clubs would want tickets, so a 20,000 seater may have been better. The Reebok would have been perfect, just close the north and south tiers (not seen on telly). I'd rather have people watching the game than viewing a full stadium on tv with people missing out.

But, we need to sell our allocation first (which we will)

is there no ground with a capacity of about 18k available?

it would have been great to have it held at the reebok but i really hate seeing empty seats..

lets hope we sell our allocation and that wire do the same.

what was last years CC Final attendance?

I agree that crowds were poor, but not as bad as you suggest; it was 60k for the whole weekend.
