Re: Noble has a novel idea
I do believe that if Brian Noble does not select a player with good reason who has been signed by IL then he will make it known that he is concerned as to why he is left out.
Re: Noble has a novel idea
From the title I hoped Noble was going to pack in coaching and become an author, no such luck.
Gareth Thomas before his first game: "You wanna spend 10 mins getting smashed up by these guys..Big dudes here.."

According to his recent interview on GMR when he was out in Aus and some players he was there to discuss signing were not deemed suitable for whatever reason after further investigation but he then went on to say two or three others possibly were.
It sounded to me like he had a hit list of players to check out but came away with a different list of players as possible signings.
Now there was only him out there and while he could have been in touch with BN I can't imagine he was on the phone constantly. So it sounded to me like IL made the decision not to pursue the singing of certain players based on what he heard.
That is I got the impression it was IL discussing things with the likes of Graham Murry and coming to conclusions about various players.
If so I don't really have a problem with it as previous Wigan coaches were given a team and told to coach it but it depends of course if the players signed are good players and if the coach can make the best of what he is given. I can't say I am convinced in either of those scores so far.

says there noble identyfies the players he wants....maybe a clue he's here for next season???
Re: Noble has a novel idea
That isn't what he said in the interview on GMR after the Salford game.standishwarrior wrote: says there noble identyfies the players he wants....maybe a clue he's here for next season???
It is a curious situation because in that same interview he would not be drawn on Noble's future here and said once more it depended on results.
If it does and the results go against Noble and he leaves, then IL will have ended up recruiting a squad for his ex-coach.
If he is already assured of a new deal and so IL is recruiting Noble's targets, then why not announce it? There is absolutely no reason not to announce it if he is staying.

Re: Noble has a novel idea
There is a school of thought put forward by several RL journalists that for some reason IL and Noble are engaged in a mexican stand off as to whome will seize the impetus and take the first move I.E will Noble announce he is leaving or will IL announce his contract will not be renewed. What either gains from this I am not sure.
Although in the WEP yesterday IL spoke in a way that some could construe as a new contract for Noble.
However what do you believe / who do you believe. 99% of people think IL and Noble are from bussom buddies but they both deny it is true.
