Mike wrote:I was saying with 20 mins to go that it was not all over as we would have to do 20 mins with Riddell on the park. Nobby subs by the clock, no matter how well macca is doing he will be brought off. At one point in the second half we had 4 tackles in a set of 6 before Riddell got to the play the ball. This after being on the field for 10 minutes.

We're stuck with Riddell, unless we get a new coach who can offload him on a free transfer somewhere in the UK or Aus.

If this can be done, our other options are to bring in a new hooker, or stick tommy in as a hooker and bring in a hlaf back. In terms of needing an organiser - after today it looks like we've already got one in SamT.
It's like listening to my own train of thought - couldn't agree with you more Mike.

As for Riddell, he is a physical disgrace. For a professional athlete in a pivotal role to be carrying a beer gut like him is appalling. It speaks volumes. It says to everyone, I can't be arsed watching what I eat/drink to improve my performance; I'll do as I am. It disrespects the team and it disrespects us as fans.

Mike defo played better on Sunday night.

The only defence i have for Piggy is the contrasting style allows for Mike to do better when he comes on the field. They complement each other really well.

The only 2 criticism of Mikes one is the accuracy of his passing from behind the dummy half. A few passes went to ground and didn't find their targets. The 2nd is the attacking line plays a lot depper when he is on the pitch which results in the props getting the ball further away from the defences and not making as many yards.

they are small thing that he needs to improve on to get better. AT the moment thou his reading of the game and scouts from dummy half are brilliant. Am a big fan!!

Mike knocks spots of Riddell. However,I do feel that Tim Smith takes undue flack. He did not last above ten minutes. So I don't think comparisons should be made re last nights performance.Over all I would still prefer young Sam though.Dynamic play from both Mike and Sam.Caused no end of problems for HKR.No chance under Nobles tenure!! He is far to consistant in his choice of Riddell and T Smith. It's like he as tunnel vision.Get rid!!

Tim and Sam are the best halfback combo.

Whenever I see Riddell on the pitch, I am reminded of the Players Strike in the late '70s. On one occasion at Central Park, a 40 year old Peter Smethurst turned out for the team. Having been retired for some years, Peter was entitled to have a 'belly'!

We obviously scored ALL our points whist Sam was on and ZERO whilst Smith was on. When will it sink in with Nobby??????????????????? Great win lads in the face of such adversity and some shocking decisions.
All we need now is Ainscough in for Roberts and we have cracked it. 13 tries against 5 speaks volumes. Has Roberts lost pace or is Fox unbelievably quick?

Last year I saw Roberts match it with Brett Stewart and he is a genuine speedster so something has happened SEFC.

sam should be at 6 macca at 9 richards at 1 and ainscough at 5. i will personally take phelps smith and riddell to manchester airport and if they like at next home match i'll organise a whip round for there tickets, dont think it would take long though, smith was a disgrace with the attempted tackle on fox, he was only holding his wrist by full time he was on bench jumping about, absolute disgrace, no matter how injured you are you should still want to stop an opposition player from scoring! for me it just summed up his commitment to the club, you can tell a mile off he thinks he is way too good for superleague, thing is he wouldn't even in get a shirt in a confrence side

wouldnt play sam every week he doesnt seem physically/mentally fit enough.

Macca is class but wont go 80 mins so riddell will HAVE to feature at some point. Unless you get into putting leuluai at 9 but then your messing everything in the middle of the park up. Sam seemed to be at 9 for a bit vs KR saw riddel taking the ball in a few times... ball playing prop?
