how many SL clubs will go through a season without a number of injury's??? that is such a pointless thing to say, because there will ALWAYS be injury's in RL.

even then you can still bring players in, but in no sport would it be good to play a young player week in week out. least of all rugby league. i am a firm believer that if sam had not had to wait behind smith for such a long time, and only getting a few odd games, that he would not be as good as he is.

We're not saying "week in, week out" though, that's exactly what we're wanting to avoid. Squad rotation, instead of the same 17 all the time, irrespective of the opposition.

Other clubs, like Saints for example, have rested their senior players for easier games, with the two-fold advantage of letting them recover and giving the yougsters some experience. That's why they have players 2 or three years younger than Sam (who isn't a teenager anymore,. don't forget) already coming through.


Remember, these "promising youngsters" of ours we keep talking about are all in their 20's now. Joel T is 22, Goulding & McIlorum 21, Sam T & Mossop 20, Ainscough is 20 later this year.

Where are our 17 and 18 year olds while other clubs are giving theirs a taste of first team action? Tonight is the closest Liam Farrell has come to playing, and he's 19, as are Chris Tuson and Ben Davies, who don't seem to be in the frame at all, despite having first team squad numbers.

Great isn't it some of us criticise Noble all year, some people say he will come good etc. his hand is totally forced to play Mossop, Tomkins and the like so we perform and Nobby ends up smelling of roses when in actual fact its quite clear that those of us who have been screaming out for young lads to get a chance and criticising Nobby were right all along, yet no doubt Nobby lovers will say they knew all along we would improve.

Just wait til our injury list improves and see what happens to the squad then.

Totally agree with Mr Partin.
Thought the kids were fantastic and well supported by a few old heads. Supsect the result would have been different if the injured players had been out there. Sorry, but Fielden must go and can we really carry Feka for just a few minutes game time.
Getting fed up to with Steve and Eddie claiming that BN should have a new contract. Who are they to decide?? They have not had to put up with the turgid performances for half a season, and yes BN has got us into the top 8, but why not the top 4 by better performances earlier in the season.
God, I do hope that we win something this season and not 'to little to late' yet again.

What the Noble sackers have been advocating all season is that he will not play the youth unless for injuries .Tonight he had to and they might have saved him his job.
