Qestion is Dave and CP, if you hire a joiner at full rates and I send the apprentice are you cheated. In a game so dependent on results and a game where many are destroyed before they are ready physically Noble has a "Duty of Care" Maybe not so much in the backs but look how many young forward have already had major surgery. Who are the 9000 paying to see. Yes it is great to see young talent coming through but it is early days for many. Where are the previous set of youngsters, NL1 or NL2. However good they are in the reserves truth is only a fraction will remain in the top flight. The stand out youngsters are good for a few games but old hands soon learn their moves. ST is an exception to that rule. Mossup, Flannigan, Goulding will not replace old hands by being as good as which is what you are suggesting. They have to be constantly better,
Why is Pryce in the 19. Simple he is hugh. If he is on as coach you have to sort ut a team plan and team to cope with him even if he does not play. Keeps opposition guessing. Replace Roberts with SA no need to change the team.

I am on the fence with Noble from what limited matches I have seen this season.
My concern is his lack of interest in using younger players unless he is forced to do so.
We are looking at near the best stand off in SL, only getting his regular spot due to a major injury to Tim Smith.
The same can be said of so many of the younger players now, but look at their solid performances against Les Cat's & Leeds.
Those guys were there to be counted, and done the club proud.

He picks Karl Pryce, but has he realised, he is a no hoper this season.

It was not good management, Noble picking the younger players, he had very little option.

It is regularly said that his style of conditioning is to get the team fit towards the end of the season, and maybe we are seeing that now.
But we are still well off the top two.
To be realistic of Grand Final success, a team needs to be in the top 2 to have a good chance of winning.
If the team was acheivably fit, throughout the season, with good player roation (AKA Stains), resting players at chosen opportunities, I am sure, barring less injuries, we would be in a higher position in the table.
