IMO Feka is in a transition period with MM.
The bloke has lost a massive amount of weight, plus all the short time match impact in attack that goes with it.
Give Feka a season and we will see a different player.
Big mistake IMO, if Wigan ditch Feka.

Feka is immense and under MM he will become better.

Feka is not immense in fact he is far from it, he is overrated and not good enough to play for Wigan. He will not improve under MM, Feka is to put it simply a poor Prop forward. Despite what Josie says Feka was dropped last week and I was very surprised to see him in the team again this week after what I was told.

It is a matter of value for money and finding someone to supplement the team. If we can get Feca and Fielden to re-sign for the same money as Prescott then I would do it, because they bring about the same as him to the team.
My top priorities would be to sign up Mossop, and look out for a big and nasty pack leader, a la Fitzgibbon/Morley/Graham, as that is the one thing we conspicuously lack.

IMo Feka still needs to be given a chance to prove himself.
Many if not most on here were calling for him to lose weight last season, well he's lost abot two and half stone, and guess what? He can't smash through the tackles as well.
Not a huge surprise really. 19 stone hitting you is still 19 stone going at full pelt. 16.5 stone will hurt less.
Factor in the realisation that other teams are now aware of his blockbuster runs, so are more ready for him, and you have a less effective player.
Regarding game time, that is purely the decision of MM.
Feka is playing the game he is being asked to play by the coaching staff.
If he had been dropped, I would have expected him to play in the reserves for a week or two.
If Josie says he weas rotated, then as far as I am concerned, he was rotated.
Get him back to KFC and McD's and see how many are wailing then. He might break a few more tackles though!

I am v pleased to hear that we are about to tie up Lee. That and Saints' struggles have put a smile on my face today.
I wouldn't write off Feca yet, but he has a massive challenge to show he is worth top money. As I say, if he is humble enough to drop down to Prescott/O'Carroll money I would definitely keep him. I wish him all the best, but anyone looking at the team's performances thus far would be hard pressed to say he was doing more for the team than Fielden, Prescott, Coley or Prescott. If he is getting more money than any of those we aren't getting a fair deal from him.

Well Stu Fielden will have to take a pay cut. Circumstances meant the club paid over the top.

I sadly think Feka will not be Madges cup of tea. If you look at the Melbourne pack they were incredible hard workers.

I guess we'll see over the next 4-6 weeks how Feka is going to pan out.

If we're going to use him like Friday it's a waste of a bench slot. His lack of forward impact on the game certainly wasn't worth the reduced minutes he spent on the pitch and unfairly burdened our other props with additional workload.

He might well be lighter and relatively much fitter, but if that doesn't translate into mobility around the ruck in defensive sets he'll leak penalties - I can think of one on Friday for not being square at the play the ball.
