Oh dear me!!

It was a bit one sided to be sure, but the skills on show were testiment to the team, and after good fridays hard game.

Boring NEVER bored watching 10 tries going in....

We'll keep winning and opposition coaches will keep on trying to find excuses and probably blame our wrestling. As per usual!! I agree with Dobby that his comments weren't that bad. I think he was just disappointed yet again as he's been the receiving end of some hidings this season.

on the atmosphere, is was quiet for two very good reasons.
1) Wakey looked beaten from the first minute and that killed it

2) we watched one of our best players stretchered from the field!

Maybe he watched last season's opener between Wigan and Wakefield on DVD instead of the live match by mistake?

I think the words strangle and choke are deliberate to be honest. Haven't these words been used to describe Wigan already this year? The boring part is pandering to the fans who can't see the difference between controlling the ruck and holding down. Might be looking into it too much. The rfl have wanted teams to score tries without the need for kicking to the corner everytime and Wigan are doing just that. Teams will learn to adapt with varying levels of success. Looking forward to seeing the match.

It's two faced for other coaches to say we use wrestling tactics / 3 tacklers to slow the play the ball down. They coach their players to do exactly the same, it's just that we do it better.

As for being boring, we played some brilliant attacking rugby today when we were in possession of the ball.

Sour grapes in my opinion.

For those who think Kear was not having a go. Take a look;

Wakefield coach John Kear Full Quote
"We were poor. You just have to look at the scoreboard and you don't have to be a technical genius to realise they walloped us. They choked the life out of us and completely controlled the first half so good on them. They were superb, they strangled us out of the game, but if I want to watch four or five men in a ruck or a maul, I'd rather go to Twickenham. The game is cyclical and we're seeing what the Australian game went through two or three years ago. They went to two referees to sort out the rucks and as a game we need to look at our philosophy. We might have to change the way things are refereed. What we saw today certainly wouldn't excite me – it's like watching paint dry. (The atmosphere) was like a cathedral. It got exciting in the second half when we made it a bit of a contest and the Wigan crowd enjoyed that."

It's strange isn't it that every time Wigan beat a crap team the Coach has a twine.
I think it's Black Propaganda - if they gripe often enough they hope that the RL Refs etc. will start penalising Wigan for their "alleged" slowing down the play-the-ball.
If I was MM I would ask Stuart Cummings if they have a problem with Wigans tackling - I certainly don't. I think they tackle clean and quick.
As I said at the start - sour grapes. Get a life you wingegers!!!

So how many penalties did we have against us for holding down then ??????? Sour grapes from a coach on a losing side looking for excuses. How many top try scores have Wakefield got in the top twenty ????.Most of our tries come from our wings if Kear thinks it boring then watching Wakefield would be boring. To do what Wigan are doing tackling wise the players have to be super fit to get back the 10 yards .
