Players not playing will put weight on. I think generally players lose a stone once they start playing.

Just hope Amos is OK. It has been a pleasure watching him this season and so looking forard to better weatrher and harder grounds when he would have been at his best.

One suggestion I once read Down Under was to dispnse with two posts bwelow the crossbar and have American Football style post with a single post
Given the object of the exercise is to score tries between the sticks I guess whoever suggested that has since thought twice! The players would be colliding with the single post far more often than they do with the two currently. They would in effect be aiming for it when attempting to score between the sticks.

You would than also have disputes as to whether or not the try really was scored between the uprights. Not that this would make a great deal of difference but would no doubt happen.

Nutty idea if you ask me. It wasn't down to Nigel Woods while on holiday in Oz by any chance?

What on earth are you talking about ?

CP, Does Roberts remind you of Chicka Ferguson in a lot of his ways and footwork ?
He's certainly got that relaxed style TEW and you look at what he does and think its nothing out of the ordinary but he beats men so easily. I presume his feet are fast like Chikas. Not fast in terms of frantic but you will know what I mean.

Just heard on GMR that Roberts has NOT broken his leg.

Hope that's not premature, but not heard exactly what he has done?!

Suppose it's good not broken, as I think that would have hit his confidence coming back.

Are all the Stains and Wires fans laughing now?????

That's relatively good news if it's true. I think CP mentioned that he'd be crucial to us if we're to win silverware this season. He's certainly a massive asset and has the ability to do something miraculous off his own back. I'd happily see him rested for a full two months if it means he's back firing come the business end of the season.

For me Kiwi Amos 2010 is our X Factor. He can win games on his own for us in terms of attack.

The messages elsewhere are Amos out for 6 to 8 weeks and Tommy Lu Lu out for 2 to 3 weeks. Far better re Amos than I and many feared.
