I have to agree with SW on that score. I do not believe the clubs should as of right publish the salaries of their employees. Where do you stop? The players, the CEO?

Why stop? Why should it be confidential for some but not others? We know how much, roughly, 90% of the population earn, why should RL players be an exception? Even in many other sports, wages/contracts are freely published.

I guess in most other jobs the salary is fixed irrespective of the individual. To be fair I can see valid arguments for publishing salaries. It would give the public a true indication of how much each player/employee is paid relative to their contribution. Even in top jobs, salaries eventually become public domain. Maybe it is 'a British thing' maybe it would be better if things were out in the open.

what do you hope to acheive by this?? Why is Andy Coley most likely to have relatives living in Liverpool??? I dont even come from there or live there but am a Liverpool fan. You really make stuff up! So you ask me all this to guess my relative? I dont have a problem with anyone knowing who I am related to but I dare say you will own up to who you know? I am interested to hear who your source is as I would like to have the conversation regarding the wages with you and a few other people it concerns. Admit either your wrong or your source is.

They are and I think in some sports you get salary tiers where players of varying experience get slotted into certain tiers and it is known what tier they are in and so what they could earn.

This is no different to salary scales in the public sector where given what grade you are then you get paid a salary that fits into a certain range.

The tell me things with a caveat I cannot publish them and other information that I can. Now I am sorry if that upsets you but the figures given to me make sense. They fit a salary cap of 1.6 million. They fit IL's stated desire to balance salaries across the first 17 - 20 and if they were not correct then the players below the top 20 highest paid players would be receiving far more than they do. You throw a hissy fit with no figures no names and demand X, Y and Z. I trust my sources based on 5 years of them being proven correct 99.9 times out of a 100.

You seem to have an agenda and no I prefer to believe my sources compared to somebody I do not know.

I even have a problem with your Scouse Warrior tag. A Scouser is somebody who comes from Liverpool, a supporter of Liverpool FC does not refer to themselves as a scouser as that does not signify they support Liverpool. They could support Everton and be scouser for example. So given something as simple as your tag is dubious and I do not know you I will trust my sources.

In the know No never claimed to be. People tell me things nothing more nothing less. I dareasay there are several posters on here who are far more in the know than me. Josie Andrews being an obvious example.

And that Karl Pryce earns between 5p and 70K. In any case paying him anything other than washers is theft, and if the rumour about him going to Cas in todays Sun is true, then hurrah!!!!
