Damned if they do, damned if they dont springs to mind!!! Its the first Advert ANY sports team has ever done for tv!! Give em a chance!!! I personally congratulate the club on doing this!!! It may not increase the size of the crowd, but its good POSITIVE exposure for the club and the sport!!! WELL DONE WIGAN!

It might attract non sky viewers / non RL fans and the best place has to be terrestrial TV in and around slots unconnected to sport. The club deserve credit IMO.

thanks Fred i didnt think laterally, a fair point... still it's on around Loose Women :D shall tune in today to see it. I suppose we get what we're given with adverts, especially with the world cup on just as long as we have the prime slots around the news as i mentioned, which we do...

so all is well.

I think its great a bit cheesy but its the cheesy ones that stick in your mind. Some familiar faces in there too.

Well done Wigan its got other fans of other clubs talking! Some comments on facebook, albeit calling us rotten but with an underlying hint of jealousy.... Some are saying the RFL should take heed... Good Move Marketing Dept!!!

Must only be on in the North West, I tuned i last night to see it and it wasn't shown down here.
Not realy surprised, but I thought the adverts were national now.

It was shown on ITV on Tuesday night prime time, just before The Bill came on. Pretty good slot, if you ask me and the advert was ok. Maybe could have done a bit more to mention the actual match etc, rather than a millisecond snippet at the end. But, IMO, a good first attempt and a good spin on marketing the match and the game in general. Well done WRLFC.

i admit it, the cockle bit was my fault, its a word i use all the time (god knows why) dared the lad next to me to say it when he went up for his imaginary ticket and he did.
was a really good morning filming with Sam and Richie Myler, the pair of them got on like a house on fire, top laughs. i made the billboards around wigan, im the git behind sam. im famous

well played warthog!

The advert would only be regional, ie Granada area. No point spending a lot more cash on a national advertising campaign I doubt we will get 5 tickets sold from people in St Mary's
