Re: Are you fed up with football moving rugby games?
The problem isn't with SKY but with the football club and premierleague who, at will, will change a fixture to suit them. Outside influences like that are annoying to our sport, at least SKY put us on their payroll.

I sent an email to the Premier League and this was the reply
From: Supporter Relations (supporters@premierleague.com)

"Dear Nathan,
Thank you for your recent email concerning the now reversed Blackpool v Wigan Athletic fixture.
I am sorry if this rearranged fixture has caused any inconvenience. In respect of the agreed improvements to Blackpool’s stadia and facilities it has been decided, by all parties, to reverse their opening day fixture against Wigan Athletic FC.
It was important to take this decision as early as possible if there was any potential for Blackpool FC's stadium not being ready for the first match of the season. We discussed this fully with Wigan Athletic and Wigan Rugby League, and we fully appreciate their support in this matter.
I am sorry that you are unhappy with the decision. We appreciate your feedback on the matter.
Kind regards,
Communications Team"
Well it seems they didn't answer any of my questions.

Basically just c&p'd the original press release there and e-mailed it back to you.

I'm fed up with football full stop. The world cup showed what an utterly dour and uninspiring game it is to sit through.

Its a joke when Hull has no problem when rugby is played on a Friday and the football still goes ahead on the saturday. Why dont the softies play on the Sunday instead.Blackpool v Wigan wow what a spectacle, cant imagine how big the crowd will be.Football like has been stated really is shite and its played by a load of cheating over paid fairies.Hopefully Wigan will be relegated this time :eusa10:

Listen Brain im an unhappy bunny, i bought my season ticket and then planned my work pattern around it.So far i think its been around 4 games have been changed so far this season. I have missed all four of them its ok to offer an extra ticket for the games ive missed but how does that benefit me it doesnt. The giants game im going to miss now because its been changed because the tics are now playing at home.Ive booked a days holiday for the Bradford game are the club going to give me a free ticket for the play off game, i think not.I want to be able to watch the games that paid to watch. The club will then expect me to pay for the play off games, wont they. Its bang out off order.Brian McTigue wrote:To all unhappy bunnys. You do realise the game could have been moved by SKY. So could any of our games in the latter part of the season. Are you unhappy bunnys because it is Wigan Athletic and Dave Whelan? If so are you true Wiganers? You do also realise unhappy bunnys that when you buy a season ticket it does say that the scheduling of games is subject to change? Just imagine if by agreeing to switch this game we get cooperation during the play offs. Will you unhappy bunnys be screaming for the blood of Mr Lenagan then? We might attract more away supporters to the game and lose a dozen bunnys.

might upload a picture of my 'die hard' latics fans, my uncle and cousin wearing Newcastle united shirts circa 1995 (when they were top of league) onto youtube... that will be fun

Tbh, i dont see why people complain so much. the DW is not our ground, we are renting it or w.e off Wigan Athletic or DW himself, so they should get the main priority. I know that changing our fixture has caused some problems for our fans, but we have got to accept that.
