Surely if Bails is leaving it means for two 2nd rower positions and one on the bench we have Joel T, Harrison, Farrell (Gaz Hock???) Mossop, with (again if the stories are true) Fielden, Coley, Prescott, OCarrol, and Tuson fighting it out over 2 starting and 2 sub prop places, bringing Davies and Holland through the ranks next year.
I thought Coley was hanging his boots up at the end of this season?

Someone from Wigan denying the rumours? That's a done deal then.

We really do need another prop though.

i my opinion next season will be a small dose of gaz hock as he builds up game time, fitness and club structures etc and it showed last night farell, tuson are very mobile and very fit bit lacking in size- they need to go on what ever diet Ben Harrion has been on - there is a lesson in bulking up and keeping fitness and speed.

A prop is 100% must - a stand out pack leader with real size - a younger version of morley please

as for salary cap - we dont know the deal with the storm players - they are contracted to the storm for years to come so they cannot just be released surely - maybe deals are on place where they still pay 25% of the salaries for the remaining years on the contracts. Thereore they still reduce the salary cap spend by 75% on some contracts and we still get some good value for money player and some money in the cap to keep young players

I was reading in the Australian (on line) that Hoffman, Lima and Finch will all be announced as Wigan signings on Monday. :D
After last night this is exactly what we need - an organising half back and a tasty prop, plus Furner/Fletcher mark 2.
Add Hock and another utility back (though maybe Marsh and Charnley would give enough cover?) and we'll have a different pack next year.

The one snag I can see is we get Lima and lose Coley and/or Fielden.

Re Jeff Lima

Did anyone watch his performance last night against the New Zealand Warriors ?

Absolutely woeful, as he has been for a long time, i can't see why people are getting excited about his signing.

I have a relative who plays for the Storm so i watch them closely and i feel there will be some disappointed Wigan fans this time next season.

I do rate Ryan Hoffman though, good wide running backrower.

Press conference called for 10am Monday by the club.
New signings expected to be confirmed.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Hopefully not Brett Finch. As has been posted before he is a journeyman player. No real outstanding skills been to a number of clubs in OZZ without success.Madge can do better IMO.
