no Marc, would you? Seems like a terrible waste of money and would be highly unfair to our dedicated supporters with mobility issues. :tong1:ancientnloyal wrote:Would you like the club to install these in one of the disability pods?cpwigan wrote:An unintended/intended benefit of this 'ultra' movement might be better behaviour at the top end of the South Stand. Keep up the good work.
Absolute legendary drummer. I was lucky enough to see him with Peter Green's Splinter Group in 97/98ish and before I went I didn't even know he was drumming for them. They weren't my favourite of the bands he played for (that honour goes to Black Sabbath but Whitesnake and Rainbow were good for a bit of cheese) but I was so glad I got to see him because he died pretty soon afterwards IIRC and he was incredibly versatile. Incidentally if anyone likes Fleetwood Mac's 60's bluesy stuff then Splinter Group are worth a listen, its basically the same material but sometimes the tunes are a bit different and tend to be more upbeat.cpwigan wrote:I just want a drummer than can drum

We've already taken delivery of 4 big flags for waving in front of the South Stand on matchdays and have ordered a massive Billy Boston flag, also for waving. These flags should look spectacular. Very Anfield Kop-esque. We are certainly putting something together here that'll be unique in RL circles![]()

there will be flags going up in the west from next year, i think the long we are wigan flag will be across the north, when we first started the whole idea of flags the south was the only option that the club would allow to have flags from IIRC. as the project has gathered pace they (the club) have been fantastic in allowing flags to go in other stands. the way things are going the west will look very good next season. !jimofwigan wrote:Having flags is a waste of time and money if you are a regular south stand season ticket holder. You cant see them if you are in the stand. They should all be in the away stand then all the fans can see them :conf: :doz::conf:

A waste of whose time & money? A lot of those who have taken the time to design them and pay for them are Southstanders who want the flags above the South Stand because that is the 'Wigan end'.jimofwigan wrote:Having flags is a waste of time and money if you are a regular south stand season ticket holder. They are a statement to away fans and the players on the pitch. They say look at our support and the pride we have if the unrivalled history & tradition of the club.
I can understand if someome designed one, paid for it and wanted to sit looking at it during the game but to date, everyone who has done this seems happy to have them all together above the Wigan end. You don't get Stretford Enders or Kopites putting flags at the opposite end of the ground next to the away fans?
Anyway pal, Southstanders will certainly see the big wavers next year
