When he was here, the fans on the terraces (us) could tell he was one for the future, with proper guidance. Unfortunately the powers that be at the club at that time thought otherwise, the man in charge couldn't do guidance, the rest is history

Was a great try from Ashton but he does look like he has lost a bit of pace since his Wigan days, still quicker than the yawnion boys though.

If only Ashton was coming through the Wigan ranks now, Maguire would have sorted out a few of his defensive weaknesses and with Ashton at full back and Sam at Stand Off Wigan would be the best attacking team in rugby league.

We are all basking in the refelcted glory of Chris Ashton's fantastic try against the Australians yesterday.

It only seems right and proper that someone should express gratitude and appreciation for the Club that taught him 'all he knows' before he shifted to our club.

I know his departure from Wigan & League caused a lot of bad feeling at the time, but hope all at Wigan can also share the pride of his achievement.

You should recognise when we call him Flash - but for some reason I don't understand, he is also known as The Snake Charmer!

In sport,

Ive seen his try a few times and was a great score but credit goes to the centre who well timed pass took out 2 defenders and created that space for Ashton to pin his ears back and go.

That wasn't a centre, it was their bloody lock!
