The fixtures they have they will struggle to get a point let alone a win for the next month or so.

Watched a junior game at the Soccerdome this morning. THAT pitch was in better nick than DW!

Why? They will still play at the DW but with a fraction of the income they get now!

The sooner the wendy bendy boys are relegated the better! Then the folk from Wigan can get back to watching a proper game. Wonder how much DW is paying the Beeb pundits for spouting such utter drivel. The poor little darlings might break a nail in such terrible conditions. :D

But the premier league have such stupid rules about use of the pitch, the Football league are less whiny about such things

Agreed. But at the moment, we are sharing a shitty pitch with a top flight club. How will the pitch improve in February if Latics are playing in a lower division?

Wigan's pitch

Post by Stan Dish »

Just happened to see a bit of the Latics match on television and I was shocked by the state of the pitch at the DW stadium. Now I appreciate that grass doesn't grow as quickly in winter as it does later but they don't seem to have the same problem at say, Old Trafford.- It can't always be the fault of thoughtless rugby league players - can it?
