did he mate? I was expecting him to be out longer than that. I just hope they don't rush him back in if he's not ready.

One reason Wire's kicks were so effective last night was they were mainly made inside our 30 metre line, whereas our kicks were poor because they mostly came around the halfway line at best.
Wire were making massive metres against our defence, and we had no answer to them.
Their forwards were totally dominant last night.

Same as last year. Wire forwards were faster and smarter and more up for it than ours seemed to be. Only way to beat wire is by fast play the ball, and we didn't have that for lost enough during the game. Their forwards set their backs up all night. Ours did not.
Feel sorry for Charnley in one way though - seems George came inside towards Finch more than once, leaving Josh on his own against 2/3 wire backs. Has George got concerns re Finch's tackling abilities?
Why were no long kicks ever given to Finch in open play? Thought that was one of his better attributes?

Which makes me wonder if that game was played according to Madge's game plan or did some on field decide to play adhoc ?

Madge was subtle in the post game.
A disappointed Maguire said: "It was a tough old night for the boys unfortunately and we probably went away from what we are capable of doing throughout the game but full credit to Warrington they turned up and attacked and defended very well tonight."

"They put us off our game but we will learn a lot from that one."

I have said for goodness knows how long - we lack that one big strong tough hard front row forward - we need a big strong brick of a lad up front - i know the moderen game is about about speed and mobility - which Mossop & Prescott have in buckets, so do Farell, Hansen and Tuson but the bish and bash is still needed at times
