Good idea. This proud South Stander wishes she could afford a season ticket and would gladly purchase one off a disgruntled former fan!
Purchase...? they ought give it you if they can't be bothered to go anymore!

I have never read anthing so stupid in all my life as so called supporters burning thier season tickets.
The first time I ever came across fans burning season tickets was last season when Saints fans did it. I can't remmeber why, bad run of results maybe but at the time I thought they were out of their trees.
I never thought I'd see the day Wigan fans who I always classed as having a bit more about them would be as stupid as that.
Some Saints fans did it again this season when Millward wa sacked and it is a pity some of our support have sunk to their level as we can't wind them up about it as much now!
Can’t agree. I have been East stand now for 2 seasons….i was South but with the crowd on our side East beats South (hee hee…I can see a big debate about to start)
we don't stop playing because we grow old ....... we grow old because we stop playing
i wouldnt try to burn my ticket as i think i am a true fan but would it not be hard to burn?.........its not as easy as it used to be now we have plastic ones. even if we wanted to we probably couldnt b a**ed trying!

Correct. Heres to the East stand!!!! :tong:

Also been in both and much prefer the south stand. I was in the East a few seasons ago and it was a fairly big game, one of the CC qualifiers I think but there was absolutely NO atmosphere at all, it was dead like on Fri night. There's a lot of little groups of people in the South that are willing to sing on their own and I wouldn't change stands for owt. Much better atmosphere, much better view (I sit literally behind the sticks) and I feel you can get behind the team a lot easier, when they're walking back from a try and see the fans standing and hear them singing or when they're defending and the south standers are really behind them, and when we put the opposition kickers off and even when they come out, it's us they're running towards.

I agree, this is daft. Strange to remember now but I got my first season ticket (actually, a mini-season ticket) when we had our last crisis back in 1999 when we had Andy Goodway in charge. I'm not about to stop now, although as mentioned elsewhere I might be tempted to ask the management for a refund on the price of any match where Millward tries to put out a deliberately weakened team. For all the rubbish we've had to watch in recent weeks, the players on the pitch were the best available to us, and that's really all I ask in terms of team selection regardless of who's the coach.
I won't cheer for Millward, I didn't cheer for Goodway nor Eric Hughes, but they're not on the pitch taking the tackles and (hopefully) scoring tries, so are irrelevant as far as my support for the team is concerned.
