AMAZING!! :thum: :thum: :thum:
thanks for promoting my video :D

thats what it means to me that vid more or less. Been Wembley 5 times (1 was GB v Aus) and now im older with a family it will be great! Just waiting for the roar after Abide with Me
Great that you included the famous Trevor Lake try where he dived from the 25 yard line! Amazing that the next Wigan Wembley try scorer would be Kerry bloody Helmsley!

A classic of a try long forgot by many, unknown to even more.

Actually met him in the 80s. I was having a pint in the Brookhouse and he was over here on holiday. He called in to see John Stopford. Lunched out on that for ages!

I've been to Wembley twice.

First time in 1990 when a guy gave me & my dad tickets for the final and he only asked us to repay the money he'd spent winning them in a raffle. So we got 2 tickets for the final for £2!! That final is so poignant now with Mike Gregory scoring for the Wire and being their best player during a dominant Wigan performance. Also, who can forget Giz playing for 70 minutes with a bust eye socket and Joe Lydon smashing Paul Bishop.

My other final 1998, that taught me to never underestimate the opposition in a final no matter how big a favourite you are. Hopefully Madge will have that one drilled into the players, although I think they're professional enough anyway.

Roll on Saturday, fingers crossed for another Wembley success to be added to our great clubs history. C'mon lads, best of luck!!

Abide With Me always reminds me of Wembley. It always gets the emotions stirring whenever I hear it and makes the hairs stand up on the back of the neck.

Abide with me is a funeral hymn & makes me sad :(

Think there should be a more uplifting tune used as well, but that's just my opinion.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

First memory 1970 on TV
First attended 1980 Hull v Hull KR - would Wigan ever get there again?
First Wigan game 1984 v Widnes - beaten by Wiganers, Westy says we will be back next year to win - we were and we did
1985 Wigan v Hull - sublime rugby and a great come-back
Wigan v Wire - what a game, Wire would have beat most teams that day but Wigan had so many gears!

1970 was that not the "dirty hepworth final"
went all through the 70s watching everyone but Wigan, now it belongs to us again

Certainly was. Hepworth should have been the first person to be sent off at Wembley. Never turned out against Wigan again!
