Josie is now virtually the press officer for the club and it really should not be so.
Ha ha, I better get on the payroll
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Who doesn't need to know?
I don't need to know at this stage of the season and I'm a shareholder.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."
The answer or viewpoint is not as simplistic as many would like to think. You have to be very careful re officially announcing decisions, it even dates back to Wigan under the Gang of 4 getting burned by announcing Shane Varley too early and getting usurped around 1983 ish.
The true answer lies somewhere between the 2 extremes. St George did all the things the Dave O camp clamour for and their season has been far far less successful compared to last. Widnes started announcing retention/non retention and lost the last 5 games of their season.
There is a strong case IMO for RL to stop worrying about next season AND to concentrate on the present. At times you would think we were in the close season, not playing for a 2nd successive GF victory.
RE; Harris, he tried to play it cagey BUT what he said will not have impressed IL.
Thats good cause I dont want Harris, dont rate him as a coach or as a player. Was told by someone who's had dealings with him at Crusaders that Harris is very ambitious and Waney will need to watch his back!
Pleased to hear that Harris considers this one of his options and not that this is a ddone deal. Don't understand why we would want Harris or Thomas or any other Crusaders for that matter.
Why should Lenaghan respond to the speculations in the UK or Aussie press? There is too much notice taken of rumourmongers to start with. For Gods sake have a bit of patience.

I seem to recall that it also happened with Vollenhoven who came over to play for Wigan and was intercepted at the airport!

Wouldn't impress me either. Nothing like undermining your boss before you start a new job!
I remember that too KW and I'll bet the Aints still havn't paid Wigan for the flight ticket, and didn't they try it on with Adrian Shelford(R.I.P.) as well? Nothing to do with Harris I know, but I thought I'd mention it.
Dave bottome line is its a company, his company, they are all registered on companies house they all pay tax they all have employees and they all have a product to sell, they all want a profit they all tell the customers as little as they can get away with!
Personally as long as hes told who matters to him and the people it will effect within his company I couldnt care less if Im the last person to know, it wont stop me paying money to his company nor will it stop me supporting his company.
This is a stupid argument that keeps reoccuring, when the time is right it will be released officially when its not the media and social networks and people like you can continue to moan speculate and seive through the rumours.
I think we are getting a picture of IL only releasing things when its concrete and when he wants to as fans/paying customers we will have to like it or lump it.
Incidentally since he has taken over this company has it done better, has it increased revenues, has it turned a profit? etc etc etc
It is trickier than many imagine. The press were saying Thomas to Wigan was a done deal BUT the latest I have from an excellent source says it is now off.
You see the speculation in all manner of sports.
I always remembers talking to Mick Hogan and he frequently said it is not our policy to comment on speculation.
