The bit about bringing on Gaskell couldn't be further from the truth if you tried. Rush and Gaskell do not get on, at this point neither coach nor player are pretty much talking to one another and he has been "advised" to move to Wigan by one of our playersWigan_forever1985 wrote:Apparently Nathan Brown wants him to bring on lomax and gaskell

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.
The best form of defence is attack!!
Out of the black and into the red, remember you don't get anything for two in a bed!!

Re: Saints want Finch
Gaskell is too slow in my opinion.
Re: Saints want Finch
His acceleration isn't the fastest but he is fast, he is far from slow. He can move a team around the park and his kicking game is phenomenal! He's a good 6 IMO

As we still have half the season to go, if I were a Giants fan I'd be wanting to know exactly how distracted Brown is by his next job. Particularly as his current team is joint top of the league and Stains are not in the top 4!
Re: Saints want Finch
Has any1 heard anything else regarding Gaskell?
I personally think he woulf be a great signing and along with Finch would be a good step for next year, that said I keep hearing whispers that we are getting Soward from a mediocre source.

I'd say Gaskell would be more likely than Soward who I don't think would slot into IL's pay structure!
Re: Saints want Finch
I like Gaskell and think in 2-3 yrs time could be a world beater at 6, his kicking game is excellent he is good in D and has a good attacking game, IMO he is very short on game time and at the minute confidence too.
If I was a Stains fan Id be questioning why little Lance is getting the nod who is IMO a mediocre FB well past his sell by . . . I keep telling the wife and the inlaws they where mad buying him on a 4yr deal.
Soward is also a class act but like you say would cost a lot more, Id be happy if we signed either or though to be fair.

Do we still have a problem with player movement between us and Stains, ref Higham via Bradford, or has that died a death now? This lad has the kicking game we'll be needing next year, and a season with Finchy could leave us with an outstanding half-back, still only 21 years old. Get him signed up.
